A

The Split mode function available on a number of Kawai digital and hybrid pianos divides the keyboard into two sections, allowing each section to be played with a different sound.

By default, the lower section sound will not sustain when the damper pedal is pressed, however on some models this behaviour can be altered by enabling the "Lower Pedal" setting.

Unfortunately, the simplified control panels of the ES110 and ES120 models do not support changing the "Lower Pedal" setting, therefore pressing the damper pedal will not affect the lower section sound when Split mode is enabled.

However, it should be noted that the ES120 does support changing the "Lower Pedal" setting via the PianoRemote app, available for iOS and Android devices.
