Please note that the answer to this question will depend on whether or not the instrument includes a "Startup Settings" function.
Instruments with a “Startup Settings” function
Kawai digital/hybrid pianos that include a “Startup Settings” function (which allows preferred sounds and settings to be stored to memory and automatically recalled every time the instrument is turned on) may be restored to the factory default configuration by using the “Factory Reset” function. This function is typically found in the instrument’s “Basic Settings” menu. For more information, please refer to the owner’s manual included with the instrument.
Instruments without a “Startup Settings” function
Kawai digital pianos that do not include a “Startup Settings” function (and therefore do not allow preferred sounds and settings to be stored in memory) may be restored to the factory default configuration simply by turning the instrument off and on again. This process may be considered the equivalent of a “Factory Reset” function.
