MP11SE/MP7SE Stage Piano software update v1.02 released

Kawai Japan has issued a software update for the MP11SE/MP7SE Stage Pianos.

This recommended v1.02 update improves SETUP changing smoothness with certain EFX combinations, simplifies naming when saving SETUPs, and adds support for sending progressive values using the left and centre pedals of the Kawai GFP-3 triple pedal unit.


The full MP11SE/MP7SE v1.02 update changelogs are shown below:


MP11SE
– Changed: Master EQ System Exclusive value changed from On=01h to On=40h.
– Improved: Changing SETUPs with different EFX parameters should be smoother in some cases.
– Improved: When storing a SETUP, the currently selected (displayed) SOUND will be used as the default name.
– Improved: The centre/left pedal of the Kawai GFP-3 triple pedal unit can now send progressive values (useful for EFX).

MP7SE
– Changed: Master EQ System Exclusive value changed from On=01h to On=40h.
– Fixed: MIDI would not transmit in BOTH mode if a sound without the Minimum Touch parameter was selected.
– Improved: Changing SETUPs with different EFX parameters should be smoother in some cases.
– Improved: When storing a SETUP, the currently selected (displayed) SOUND will be used as the default name.
– Improved: The centre/left pedal of the Kawai GFP-3 triple pedal unit can now send progressive values (useful for EFX).

MP11SE/MP7SE owners are encouraged to update their instruments to use this latest software version.  We also recommend that users backup any custom settings, SOUNDs, SETUPs, etc. before applying the update.

Note that Kawai software updates are cumulative, i.e. the v1.02 update includes any fixes and improvements provided with all previous versions.
