Kawai Japan has issued a software update for the MP11/MP7 Stage Pianos.

This recommended v1.14 update corrects a rare bug that could cause instability when the Damper function was assigned to both the Damper pedal and Modulation wheel simultaneously, while also increaseing the adjustable range of the Metronome volume from 1~10 to 1~128.  In addition, on the MP7, the v1.14 update also introduces a new FaderAssign parameter to allow MIDI CC# to be assigned to the instrument's zone faders when set to EXT mode.

The full MP11/MP7 v1.14 update changelogs are shown below:

MP11
–  Changed: The adjustable range of the metronome volume expanded from 0~10 to 0~127.
–  Fixed: Very rare case whereby selecting a SOUND which has the Damper function assigned to both the damper pedal and the modulation wheel, while holding the damper pedal, could cause instability.

MP7
–  Added: ‘FaderAsgn’ parameter to EDIT:Transmit menu when a zone is set to EXT mode.
Note: The Transmit category parameters are all SYSTEM parameters. These parameters are memorised automatically and therefore do not need to be stored to each SETUP.
–  Changed: The adjustable range of the metronome volume expanded from 0~10 to 0~127.
–  Fixed: Very rare case whereby selecting a SOUND which has the Damper function assigned to both the damper pedal and the modulation wheel, while holding the damper pedal, could cause instability.

MP11/MP7 owners are encouraged to update their instruments to use this latest software version.  We also recommend that users backup any custom settings, SOUNDs, SETUPs, etc. before applying the update.
