Kawai has opened a new store in AEON MALL Deltamas, Indonesia, part of the AEON MALL chain which operates large shopping malls across Japan.

At this store, we will offer piano sales, practice room rentals, and a music school. On May 8th, an opening ceremony was held for the new store, attended by Kawai staff as well as all the companies cooperating in Indonesia with Kawai’s production, sales, music education, and after-sales service. The event featured speeches and piano performances demonstrating our commitment to quality and innovation, showcasing Kawai's dedication to craftsmanship and the promotion and development of musical culture to the attendees. The ceremony concluded with the company song of Kawai Indonesia, moving the audience with its lyrics, "Let us also deliver the song of nature to the world."

Additionally, several of Kawai Indonesia's highest quality "Champion pianos," characterized by their soft green and pink colors, were unveiled and used during the piano performances and as accompaniment for the company song.

"We are delighted to open another overseas directly operated store. We extend our gratitude to everyone who has supported us. Since 2001, we have been producing pianos in Indonesia, and from 2013, we have been running music schools to share the joy of playing the piano and enjoying music with the people of Indonesia. At this new store in AEON Deltamas, we hope that even those who previously had no interest in pianos will have the chance to casually experience Kawai pianos and develop an interest in them. In 2027, Kawai will celebrate its 100th anniversary. Aiming to create the world's best pianos, we will continue to bring music and smiles to the world as we look forward to the next 100 years."

"I have heard that it was the passionate and strong vision of Mr. Kato (President of PT. Kawai Indonesia) that inspired the discussion of opening this store. We hope to use AEON MALL Deltamas as a stage or a base for launching various events, such as student recitals, trial sessions, and community events. Through the invaluable culture of music, we aim to help convey the excellence of Japanese craftsmanship and the pride of being made in Indonesia."

PT. Kawai Music Indonesia / PT. Kawai Music School Indonesia President Takashi Miyazawa's Speech

"We opened this new store with the hope that playing the pianos we produce with heartfelt care will enrich lives and help people lead happier lives, rather than simply selling them as mere products. Our goal is to encourage even those who have never been interested in music to casually try the piano, to see the smiles of students taking lessons, and to share the wonderfulness of music. Kawai will continue to work together with everyone, uniting those who create great pianos and those who promote them, to spread and develop musical culture."
